REBECCA J. PERDUE was born in Tuscarawus County, Ohio, August 26, l844, and departed this life at the home of her son, FRED T. SMITH, near Pleasanton, Iowa, November ll, l923, at the age of 79 years, 2 months and l6 days. While still a young girl, she came with her parents to Decatur County in l864. She was united in marriage to R.A. SMITH in l864, and to this union were born six children, the husband and two daughters preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure, three sons, WALTER C., of Leon, Iowa; HARRY P., of Carlisle, Wash.; FREDRICK T., of Pleasanton, Iowa; one daughter, MRS. JACK WOODS, of Venice, California; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one brother, RANDOLPH PERDUE, one sister, MRS. F.C. DAVIS, of Clinton, Iowa; besides other relatives and friends.

She united with the Methodist Church several years ago, remaining a faithful member until she was called to rest.
The funeral services were conducted at the home of her son, FREDRICK, November l3, l923, by Rev. J. E. Clark, Pastor of the Methodist Church of Pleasanton, Iowa.

We desire to express our heartfelt thanks to the dear neighbors and friends who were so kind to us during the sickness and death of our dear mother, also for the beautiful floral offerings.
