LEWIS W. GRIM, son of CALVIN and MATILDA GRIM, was born Jan. 20, l845, in the State of Indiana. He came to Iowa when about 9 years old and in l864 was married to SARAH JANE BRADEY, of Decatur County, and settled on the farm which has since been his home and where he died.

To MR. GRIM and wife were born ten children, five of whom have died. MRS. GRIM died Sept. 6th, l9ll, and in l9l4, he was again married to MRS. SARAH COLLINS.

There remains the five children, 42 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren to mourn his death; WM. M., and JOHN C., of Dakota, and THOMAS JEFFERSON, HENRY K., and JAMES F., of Grand River, and many relatives and friends.

MR. GRIM has been a kind father, a thoughtful neighbor and a good citizen and will be missed from the community. MR. GRIM passed out of this life on Sept. ll, l923; at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 2l days. He was buried in the Wheelis Cemetery on the l3th.
