One of the saddest deaths that has ever come under our observation, occurred here Wednesday evening, LESTER EPPS, who works for Frank Greenland, in company with his wife and little three months old baby, came to town in the evening to do some trading and shortly after their arrival, MRS. EPPS discovered that something was wrong with the child, and before medical aid could reach them, the little one had breathed its last. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Wiliamson of the Baptist Church. Interment at the Westerville Cemetery.

MR. and MRS. EPPS came here from Missouri last spring to work for Mr. Greenland and so were among strangers which made the burden doubly hard to bear. A collection was taken among the business men and citizens of the town and the funeral expenses paid. MR. and MRS. EPPS have requested us to extend their thanks for this kindness, and to express their wish that should like calamity come to any of the donors, that they may find as kind and generous people as they have found in and around Grand River.
