GERALD DUANE, infant son of MR. and MRS. JAMES AKES, was born in Decatur County, Iowa, June 24, l922, died at the home of his grandparents, MR. and MRS. HARVEY AKES, Sunday, April 8, l923, aged nine months and sixteen days. Funeral services were held Monday at the home, conducted by Rev. Elba Dale, and the little body was laid to rest in the Palestine Cemetery west of Leon. The bereaved parents and relatives have the sympathy of the community in their great loss.
