ROBERT HURSEY, eldest son of THOMAS and ANN HURSEY, was born in Lucas County, Iowa, Dec. 25, l857, and died February 20, l923, at his home in Decatur County, Iowa, age 65 years, l month and 25 days.

August 30, l882, he was united in marriage to BARBARA COLLYER, who survives him. To this union four children were born and are still living: WM. ORVAL, HARRIET SOPHA DUNCAN, MARY JANE FOLLMER and SARAH ANNE, also four grandchildren. One brother, THOMAS, lives at Clio, Iowa; one half-brother, WM. HURSEY, of Clio; his step-mother, MRS. MARGARET HURSEY, of Clio, and one half-sister, MRS. RHODA GARDNER, of Green City, Mo. These relatives with friends and neighbors mourn the passing of a loved one.

Funeral services were held at the home, February 22. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Lineville.
