TARLTON PRYOR FULTON was born in Fayette County, Ohio, April l8th, l853, and departed this life at his home in Leon, Iowa, Dec. 25, l923, age 70 years, 6 months and 7 days, after an illness of three weeks. He was united in marriage to KITTY JANE MCALLISTER in the year of l873; to this union were born 7 children, three sons and four daughters. His wife, one son and one daughter preceding him in death. The surviving children are: MRS. HATTIE E. PRYOR, Kansas City, Mo.; W.W. FULTON, and MRS. NELLIE BURRELL, of Davis City, Iowa; JOHN A., and OLLIE FULTON, of Leon, Iowa; who were all with him at the time of his death.

In the year of l892, he was united in marriage to MRS. ORPHA SMITH, who also preceded him in death. To this union was born one daughter, MRS. CORA D. PARRISH, of Shenandoah, Iowa.

In the year l905, he was united in marriage to LYDA ENDSLEY, who with the surviving children, are left to mourn his departure. He is also survived by one sister and five brothers, all of Leon, Iowa.

In the year, l87l, he moved with his parents from Ohio to Decatur County, and the greater part of his life was spent in this county. He was known by all for his kind-heartedness and his generous disposition. Ever ready to lend a helping hand, in time of need. He was a lover of home, and was always happy, when surrounded by his children and grandchildren. All was done that loving hands could do to relieve his suffering, but to no avail.
And on Christmas day, surrounded by ones he loved so well, the death angel called him home where suffering is no more.

Funeral services were held in the home, Dec. 27, l923, at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Leon Cemetery. A quartet composed of Mrs. Fisher, Mrs. Elwell, Lester Hutchinson and Floyd Cozad, furnished the music.
