MAUD MARIE PAYTON, daughter of ALDIS and LUSTER PAYTON, of Kellerton, Iowa, was born November the 8th, l9l9, and departed this life April l6, l922. At the time of her death, she being 2 years, 5 months and 3 days old. This little rosebud came just for a short stay. It being God's will to take her home, and she is safe in the arms of Jesus. We will miss her smiling face, for her place on this earth can never be filled. Her illness was of short duration and all was done that loving hands could do, but to no avail.

She leaves to lament and mourn her departure, a loving father and mother and two little sisters, LILA and VELMA, of Kellerton, Iowa, two grandmothers and two grandfathers, MR. and MRS. JAMES H. PAYTON, of Kellerton; MR. and MRS. J.W. STEPHENS, of Leon, Iowa, and a number of uncles and aunts and a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at l o'clock at the home, conducted by Rev. E.E. Lister, of the Christian Church of Kellerton. Interment in the Elk Cemetery. The parents have the sympathy of all in this sad bereavement.
