Decatur County Journal
Thursday, June 29, l9l6

CARL A. SNYDER, son of MR. and MRS. W.H.
SNYDER, of near Leon, and MISS
ZOA GAMMON, daughter of MR. and MRS. D.G.
GAMMON, of this city, were
married Wednesday at high noon, at the home
of the bride's parents on
Church Street. The affair was one of the
prettiest weddings of the
month and was witnessed by a large number of
guests. MR. and MRS.
SNYDER departed on the afternoon train for
Council Bluffs, where they
will be guests for several days at the home
of the bride's uncle, MR.
WILLIAM HINES. MR. SNYDER is one of our best
young men. At the present
time he is employed at the Alexander Garage
as one of the experts in the
repairing department. He is deservedly
popular with a wide circle of
friends. The bride is one of Leon's most
charming and accomplished
young ladies who numbers her friends only by
her acquaintances.

MR. and MRS. SNYDER are now receiving the
hearty congratulations of
their many friends. They will return to this
city in a short time. Our
people will be glad to learn that they are to
make this city their home.

Note: The obituary for MARY MELVINA HINES, I
posted earlier, shows W.C.
HINES as her son, living in Council Bluffs.
Her two daughters are also
MRS. ADA GAMMON and MRS. ELSIE GAMMON. ZOE
is the daughter of DOZIER
and ADA BELLE GAMMON. According to the info.
that Robert Stubbs posted,
WILLIS GAMMON (DOZIER'S older brother) was
married to ELSIE.
