GOLDEN WEDDING - MR. & MRS. DAN BRIGHT

On last Sunday, July 25th, friends and
relatives to the number of l75,
gathered at the home of MR. and MRS. DAN
BRIGHT to help them celebrate
their Fiftieth wedding anniversary. The day
was spent in social chat
and music. They all departed, wishing them
many more anniversaries.
MR. and MRS. BRIGHT received many nice and
useful presents. Those
present were: Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Vanderpoole,
Mr. and Mrs. D.F. Snook,
Mr. and Mrs. M.F. Springer and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas Bright and
son, Mrs. Chas. Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Wells
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Lee Butts, Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Harger and
family, Mr. and Mrs. H.D.
Plummer, Mr. and Mrs. Will Bright and family,
John Woodard, Lew
Henderson, Mr. and Mrs. Forest Snook and two
sons, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
Wookey and son, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Dingman
and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Link Woodard and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Binning, Mr. and Mrs. George
Redman and family and Mr. and Mrs. Grover
Hamilton and son, Mr. and Mrs.
Chas. Mullens and family, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan
Petticord and family, Mrs.
Sarah Petticord and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. John
Rumley and family, Mr. Orr
Stone, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Frost and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Rob Bright
and son, Lulu Bright, Mary Ward, Claude
Petticord, Ralph Phipps, Earl
Bright, Chas. Hoger, Francis Ward and Burrell
Warner.

MR. and MRS. BRIGHT were married at
Lewisburg, Arkansas, and from there
they went to Fort Smith, Arkansas, where they
resided about one year.
In l865, they came to Decatur County, Iowa,
where they have resided ever
since. MR. and MRS. BRIGHT have eight
surviving children, all of whom
were present except two.
