The snow storm caught a great many not very
well prepared on the Ridge.

MR. JOHN PIPER and MISS KATE PIPER visited at
BERT PARSON's Saturday.

JACOB PIPER took dinner at BARLEAN's Sunday.

JIM JONES took a load of rabbits to Leon, on
Saturday.

CLARK MCNELLY returned from Des Moines, last
Week.

BARLEAN BROS. sold their fine cart last week.
We did not learn the
amount.

Several of Leon's best stock buyers were in
our midst.

MISS KATE PIPER is improving some at this
writing with her sprained
ankle.

JOHNNY VAN WINKLE is swinging the girls right
and left since the snow
fell.

HARRISON BOYER has rented the hoop pole shop
near the Q Depot in Leon,
for the coming season, also another one at
Lamoni. HARRISON is a
skillful man and gives good satisfaction.

ROLY GUNTER was in these parts last week. He
reports everything is
running lively in Lamoni.

BERT PARSON is still crippling around on his
cut foot.

J.N. BARLEAN visited at JOHN BLAKE's Monday.

JACOB GIVENS is running rabbit tracks this
winter for a livelihood.

A.C. BRASELTON and his sweetheart took dinner
at MR. FAIRALL's last
Sunday.

Everyboby is making good use of the glorious
snow.

What is the matter with our good old friend
Welcome Ridge
correspondence. Why don't he let the folks
know he's alive.

The sale of J.W. YOST went off last
Wednesday. Everything sold very
cheap.

MIRON CLARK visited at J. GIVEN's Sunday.

BARLEAN BROS. made a fine sled last week, it
is a daisy.
