Our citizen MR. JOHN WOFTER had a disastrous
fire last Wednesday night,
his hay barn and corn crib both were filled
with hay and corn and were
destroyed. It is not known how the fire
originated.

A general agent of DR. WARD'S Medical Co. was
in the city last Monday
doing business.

MR. and MRS. A.G. MCFARLAND, of Osceola, have
shipped their household
goods to this place. We welcome them as
citizens of High Point.

The new school house in District No. l is
completed and our young
citizen, MR. A.K. ATEN has already commenced
his winter term of school.

JOHN W. BLEDSOE has been confined to his
room with LaGrippe the past
week.

DUG NEWLIN, of Woodland, passed through the
city enroute for Garden
Grove with a bunch of fat hogs for market.

MR. GEO. MCDANIEL, the veteran hog buyer, has
been in High Point and
vicinity the past week interviewing the
farmers.

MR. SELL WILLIAMS, of Nebraska, is here
visiting his many relatives.

Preaching next Sunday at the M.E. Church by
the Pastor.
