BRAINARD HAMILTON and DEE SEVERE came home
Wednesday evening as their
work having closed for the winter.

MR. and MRS. HARRIS, of Salina, Kan., who has
been here since the death
of MRS. HARRIS' mother, MRS. BEASLEY,
returned to their home last
Thursday noon.

MRS. GLENN FRAZIER was shopping in Leon
Friday.

MISS KATE BURRELL visited her sister, DELLA
SIMPSON, in Leon Thursday.

Among those who came home for Xmas was CLELLA
MCCLARAN, HELEN WAILES,
LOIS RUDIBAUGH, LEAH TEALE and MYRTLE MARBLE.

Uncle WILLIAM MCINTOSH has recovered from his
recent sickness so as to
be able to be on the streets.

MRS. WILLIAM FULTON, of Amarilla, Tex., came
Sunday for a visit with
friends.

LEO HUFFMAN, of Leon, was in our little city
Sunday.

REPORTS ARE THAT ROBERT TURPIN AND RUTH
ROBBINS WERE QUIETLY MARRIED
MONDAY EVENING BY ELDER JAMES MCDIFFITT.

MRS. A. VAN WINKLE has been quite sick for
the past week, but is
reported better at this writing.

JOHN MCCULLY loaded a car load of corn last
week.

Sleighing is fine. The 5-inch snow that fell
Sunday put the finishing
touches on the already good sleighing and now
everyone who has a sled is
making good use of it.

School closed Wednesday until the 4th of
January, thus giving the pupils
and teachers one and one-half weeks'
vacation.

Everybody enjoyed the I.O.O.F. home-coming
which was held in their hall
Saturday night.

WILLIAM HORN and wife, of Pleasanton, and
CLEVE COVINGTON attended the
I.O.O.F. home-coming.

MR. and MRS. GID SAGE, of Leon, attended the
I.O.O.F. home-coming
Saturday night.

J.P. SMITH and wife and THEO MOINE and wife
left Tuesday morning for San
Diego, Calif. They expect to be gone until
about the lst of April.
