July 23, l9l4

At the home of MR. and MRS. GEORGE LOCHRIE
was solemnized the marriage
of their daughter, ARDIE MAE LOCHRIE and
RAYMOND ROBERT LITTLE, of
Chicago, Wednesday evening, July l5 at 6:30
o'clock. The Rev. L.E.
Ripley, Pastor of the Methodist Church read
the impressive ring ceremony
in the presence of about thirty-five
relatives and friends.

Preceding the ceremony Mrs. C.H. Allison sang
very charmingly "For You
Alone" and "O Promise Me", after which the
bridal party entered the
parlor to the strains of Lohengrin's Bridal
March, beautifully rendered
by Miss Marie Donner.

The bride was daintily gowned in white silk
crepe with veil and court
train and carried a shower bouquet of white
sweet peas and lilies of the
valley. She was attended by her sister, MISS
HELEN LOCHRIE, as maid of
honor, who wore a gown of yellow taffeta silk
with cap and shoulder veil
of white tulle and carried an arm bouquet of
yellow roses.

The groom was attended by MR. HARRY DONICHY,
a schoolmate, of Morrison,
Ill., both appeared in full evening dress.
The ring bearer, little
CHRISTINE SMITH, was daintily dressed in the
bride's colors, yellow and
white and carried the ring in a basket of
yellow roses. The home was
decorated with smilax, yellow daisies and
white carnations.

Following the ceremony, an ambrossial
luncheon of two courses was
served. The members of the Bachelor Maid's
Club, of which the bride and
maid of honor are members, served in a very
gracious manner. The bride
greatly pleased the guests by throwing her
bouquet over the heads of her
girl friends. MISS AGNES MCCARTNEY was the
maid making the lucky catch.

The bride is one of our most talented and
cultured girls, having
graduated from our high school and also from
the Drake Conservatory of
Music. She supervised for two years in the
instruction of music in the
public schools of Osceola. She was a member
of the Iota Alpha Omega
Sorority at Drake. Her life has been such as
to make her worthy of the
wide circle of friends in her home community
and elsewhere.

The groom is a man of charming personality, a
son of MRS. ETTA LITTLE,
of Leon. He graduated from the public school
at Leon in l906, after
which he graduated from the School of
Pharmacy at Northwestern
University in l911 and has since been manager
of the Leeser Drug Co., of
Chicago. MR. LITTLE was a member of the
Kappa Psi Fraternity.

MR. and MRS. LITTLE left on No. 2 for
Chicago, where they will be at
home to their friends after September l.

The out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs.
Warren Lochrie and sons Clyde
and George, of Kansas City; Mrs. Mayme Hasty,
of Des Moines, Mrs. Etta
Little and Mr. Erving Little of Leon, Mr.
Harry Donichy of Morrison,
Ill., and Messrs. E.S. Carpenter and Joe
Hoffman, of Des Moines.

Life is full of promises for this happy young
couple leaving our
community with the best wishes of all.
