Sunday afternoon out at the GARBER farm,
everything was full of
happiness, the occasion being the marriage of
MR. W.E. KEMP of this
city, and MISS MATTIE A. GARBER, youngest
daughter of MRS. N.A. GARBER,
of Center Township. It was a quiet home
wedding, only the relatives and
a few most intimate friends being present.

Promptly at five o'clock as the sweet strains
of the wedding march,
played by MISS ELLA KEMP, floated o'er the
room, the bridal party
entered and took their places at the north
side of the parlor. In a few
well chosen words by the Rev. N. Flora, of
Dallas Center, they were
pronounced man and wife. After
congratulations, they all partook of a
sumptuous supper prepared by the skillful
hand of the bride's mother,
and it would be impossible to tell what was
there to eat--everything you
could ask for was there.

The bride wore a dress of pure white, trimmed
in lace to match, and in
her modest way looked charming. MISS GARBER
is a young lady highly
esteemed by all who know her and will make a
loving and faithful
helpmate for the husband of her choice.

MR. W.E. KEMP is a young man with a bright
prospect before him, having a
good, honest and manly principle. He is a
carpenter by trade and will
be in a short time one of our most successful
contractors.

MISS EMMA BLACK, of Chariton, was maid of
honor, dressed in a becoming
suite of white and B.F. CRAIGO, of this city,
acted as best man.

MR. and MRS. KEMP will stay at the residence
of the groom's father until
their new home is completed, when they will
be "At Home" to their many
friends in north Leon. The wishes of the
REPORTER along with their many
friends, is that they live long and be
forever happy.
