Central High Point.

Editor Express: Seeing that your correspondent from here does not know
anybody or anything that happens except among their own relation, and flowers that
a great deal, there fore I have decided to give you a few of the more
important facts.

Rev. KNOL?ES has been visiting church members and looking after the interests
of his church at this place the past few days.

The threshing machine is heard again in our land. Oats are only about half a
crop.

E. H. ALEXANDER has just finished painting and papering his house for W. A.
KELLER's folks.

Wonder if the bosses are ever going to fix up the church yard fence. It
begins to look like a widow woman's yard.

Mr. Frank ROBERTS, of Indianola was here last week looking up a location.

Miss LAND is still holding meeting at the Victor school house.

The Sunday School at High Point has so far failed to obtain a secretary, all
on account of the mistreatment of the organist at last Easter.

Mr. Thomas KONKLIN and wife visited at his brother George's last Friday night.

J. F. HITCHCOCK has decided to quit practicing law and try preaching again.

Mr. Charlie BRANT and Miss Anna ZIKA visited at the widow MCFARLAND's last
Sunday.

The candidates were interviewing the good Republicans of this place the past
few days.

You may hear from me again.
