At a special meeting of the Leon School Board
held last Thursday
evening, the salaries of the teachers for
next year were fixed the same
as the past year. The contract for the new
school house was let to S.H.
LOREY. The building will be brick veneered
35 x 50, two stories and
contain four rooms. The contract price does
not include furniture or
heating apparatus. There were four bidders
for the contract as follows:
SANG C. RECK, of Allerton, $3,927; W.I.
SMITH, of Seymour, $4,527; S.H.
LOREY, of Leon, $3,800; J.L. METIER, $3,790.
METIER's bid, however, did
not include the blackboards. GEO. E. HURST,
W.H. CLARK and W.H. ALBAUGH
were appointed Building Committee.
