The marriage of MARY VARGA, daughter of MR.
and MRS. FRANCIS VARGA, to
MR. FRANK N. SLADE, of Columbus, Ohio was
solemnized last evening at 8
o'clock at the home of the bride's parents on
east llth Street, in the
presence of about forty invited guests.

While the beautiful strains of Lohengrin's
Wedding March were being
rendered by Mrs. C.E. Gardner, the bridal
couple entered the parlor
where Rev. M. Noerr, of Sidney, Iowa,
performed the marriage rite, using
the beautiful ring ceremony of the
Presbyterian Church.

The bride wore a dress of light tan corded
silk, with pointed collar of
irridescent beads, and trimmed with double
faced satin ribbon, with
gloves and slippers to match. She carried a
bouquet of white roses and
carnations. The groom wore the conventional
black dress suit.

After congratulations, an elegant collation
was served in the dining
room, which was tastefully decorated. The
bride and groom were the
recipients of many costly presents,
conspicuous among them being a
beautiful French etching of a Holland peasant
scene, from the officers
of the Link Belt Machinery Co., of Chicago,
with whom the groom is
associated in business.

The bride is the daughter of MR. and MRS. F.
VARGA, among the oldest and
most esteemed citizens of this county, a
beautiful and accomplished
young lady. She is a graduate of the Leon
High School, and a musician
of note, having pursued her musical studies
in Cincinnati and Chicago.
The groom is no stranger to the people of
Leon, although living in
Columbus, Ohio, for he has large property
interests in this county,
being the owner until a few years ago, of the
opera house block, and now
owns one of the finest farms in this county.

The bride and groom will remain at the
bride's home until next Monday,
where they leave for the groom's home in
Columbus, Ohio, and will spend
a few days of their honeymoom in Chicago.
They will probably make their
home at Pittsburg, Pa., where MR. SLADE has
extensive business
interests.
