MRS. JANE HAMAKER, of Downs, Kansas, a sister
of J.W. HONNOLD, has been
visiting with him since Saturday. She leaves
today to visit relatives
in Missouri before returning to her home.

OLIVER BASSETT and wife, WALTER BASSETT and
wife, HARRY and EVA YOST,
TILDA MILLS, ED KEELER, GEORGE BEVINS and
ROBERT SMITH, all of Eden
Township, departed for the World's Fair
yesterday.

MR. and MRS. J.A. HARRIS and daughter LOU,
J.P. WHARTON, T.R. EARLY,
G.W. ALLEN, W.J. SULLIVAN and wife, MRS. S.C.
PENNIWELL and MRS. THOS.
TEALE departed for the World's Fair Monday
afternoon.

H.P. BELL and bride came in from Shenandoah
Thursday afternoon to spend
a week or ten days here. They will then go
to Tama, Iowa, where they
will make their home, MR. BELL having a
position in a drug store.

REV. G.W. MCCRACKEN moves his family this
week to Grand River, Decatur
County, where he is stationed as Pastor of
the Methodist Church for the
coming year. He is highly pleased with his
new location. --Mt. Ayr
News.

MRS. HORACE BROWN returned home Tuesday.
While visiting the Fair at
Chicago, she concluded to go on to St. Louis
and visit her son, ELBA
READ. ELBA's health has been very poor for
some time and he started
yesterday for Portland, Oregon, to spend the
winter, in hopes of
benefitting his health.

The arrivals from the World's Fair Saturday
afternoon, tired but
well-pleased with the visit were: FRED
HAMILTON, MISS BERTHA GAMMON,
MRS. ZULA PETERS, THOS. TEALE, OKIE CLARK,
SAM BOWMAN, JULIAN HARRIS,
PROF. ROY, W.R. ELLINWOOD, ELMER HARRIS, WM.
and LEM VANNOSTRAND, MISS
ELLA ONEY, SAMUEL BASSETT and wife.

E.W. CURRY and wife returned home from
Colorado Tuesday afternoon. They
visited Colorado Springs, Delta, Grand
Junction, Glenwood Springs,
Manitou and Denver, and returned home over
the Colorado Midland via
Kansas City, thus having been on a different
route all the time since
they left home. They found delightful
weather out west and met many old
friends, so that it was an exceedingly
pleasant trip.
