It is with sorrow that we cronicle the death
of MAHLON MORRIS, one of
our oldtime citizens. He passed peacefully
away Friday evening, and was
laid to rest in the Lineville Cemetery
Sunday. The family have the
sympathy of the entire community in their sad
bereavement.

MRS. EMMA DUNHAM gave a sewing bee to a few
of her lady friends last
Wednesday. A lively time is reported.

LLOYD DUDEN closed a successful term of
school at Center Friday. MR.
DUDEN has given satisfaction throughout the
term.

Several from this part have been attending
the protracted meeting which
is in progress at Woodland, conducted by
Elder Slater and daughter, of
Smithville, Kansas.

C. MOORE and wife were in leon Monday and
Tuesday.
