There will be two weeks vacation at Pleasant
View School during
holidays.

Preparations are being made to have a
Christmas tree at Crown Chapel.

C.E. CHASTAIN and family Sundayed at MR.
GOODSON's.

HENRY and HUD HUGHES assisted in sawing wood
at Groveland.

CLARENCE WALLER has been hauling corn from
Crown.

We understand MR. and MRS. GRANT JOHN have a
new girl baby.

WILLIE WALLER spent Sunday with JESSIE
GOODSON.

MR. JOHN CASTER has moved in the house with
his mother.

MR. VONLANKEN, of Illinois, was visiting at
MR. GOODSON's the past
week. He came with the intention of
purchasing land.

MR. and MRS. FLORA will preach at Crown
Chapel Sunday and Sunday night.

We think it would be more appropriate if HUD
HUGHES would take his
mother-in-law to town in a top carriage
instead of on a load of corn.

SAM SEARS gave an oyster supper to his many
young friends last Friday
evening, it being his 2lst birthday.

MR. LAWRENCE CASTER sawed wood for CHAS.
CHASTAIN last Friday with his
new saw. He does splendid work.

MR. GOODSON and his Illinois friend visited
Garden Grove, Weldon and
other points last Sunday.

MISS ALICE FROST was in this vicinity last
week.

HENRY HUGHES was the recipient of a fine new
overcoat presented to him
by his father.

The infant babe of MR. and MRS. JOHN MUSE has
been quite sick, but is
better at present.
