J.A. WILLIAMS and MISS HELEN J. WOOD
surprised their friends Wednesday
evening by repairing to the Methodist
parsonage and having Rev. W.W.
Ramsay perform the marriage ceremony. These
young people start out in
life with bright prospects. MR. WILIAMS
comes from one of the oldest
and most prominent families in the county.
He has been connected with
G.M. Kirby's east side clothing and shoe
store as salesman ever since
its opening, and has a bright business career
before him. His bride is
a charming young lady, daughter of WADE P.
WOOD, well and favorably
known in this county. Both the parties have
many friends who wish them
a happy journey on the matrimonial sea. MR.
and MRS. WILLIAMS will live
for a time with MR. and MRS. T.H. LEASURE,
after which they will occupy
the rooms over Kirby's store now occupied by
MR. and MRS. JOHN HORNE.

MR. and MRS. T.H. LEASURE tendered a
reception last evening to MR. and
MRS. WILLIAMS. A sumptuous repast was
served. Only the immediate
relatives were present.
