Died, last Friday, GRANT HIDY, who has been
ailing for the past year
with lung trouble. A large concourse of
friends attended the funeral
services which were held at the M.E. Church.
Rev. Geo. Mitchell
preached the sermon. His subject being "The
Sympathy of Jesus for
Sorrowing Mankind" in the text Jesus wept,
which was ably delivered.
After which his remains were laid to rest in
the Green Bay Cemetery.
And thus another one of our number has past
from earth to the great
beyond from which none ever return.

Rev. Utz preached a sermon Sunday night in
the interest of the K.P.
Lodge which marched to the church in body.
His subject was "Brotherly
Love."

Last week supervisor BOYCE and a number of
our town men fixed up the
crossings in our streets which is quite an
improvement.

Everybody seems encouraged since the recent
rains.

CORNEILIUS WORDEN lost a valuable horse last
week.

Quite a number of our people expect to
celebrate at Leon on the fourth.
