UTZ, RUFFCORN, WOODBURY, KALER, TANSEY, CRISWELL, HOWELL, MITCHELL, BOSSERMAN

ELDER UTZ preached two excellent sermons
Sunday. In the morning his
subject was Thanksgiving and in the evening
"Christmas." He expects to
commence a protracted meeting in a couple of
weeks and will hold a watch
meeting on the last night of the old year.

MRS. RUFFCORN died Sunday morning at 6
o'clock. Her funeral was
preached Monday afternoon by Rev. Beer of
Garden Grove, assisted by Rev.
Smith. MRS. ANNA WOODBURY, of Garden Grove,
assisted in the singing.
Her remains were placed in the new cemetery
south of the west part of
town.

MR. JOHN KALER died Saturday night. His
funeral was preached Monday at
l0 o'clock at his residence four miles east
of town, by Rev. Beer of
Garden Grove. His remains were taken to
Garden Grove for interment.

Quite a number are sick. MISS ALICE TANSEY
was taken sick very suddenly
Monday forenoon. STEVE CRISWELL's baby was
very sick last week, but we
are glad to say is some better, and several
others are under the
weather.

O.S. HOWELL shot a wild turkey that weighed
l9 pounds one day the first
of the week.

The ladies Aid Society of the Christian
Church will meet with MRS. HIRAM
MITCHELL on Friday the l5th of this month.

MRS. FRANK BOSSERMAN, of Cedar Rapids, is
visiting her parents, MR. and
MRS. HIRAM MITCHELL.
