Decatur County Journal
January (7), l905

At the residence of the bride's parents, MR.
and MRS. PETER STREET, five
miles southeast of Grand River, on January 4,
at high noon, occurred the
marriage of their daughter, MISS ALICE, to
MR. ALBERT MAUS. The happy
young couple marched to the parlor to the
strains of the wedding march
played by Miss Olive Shields, where Rev.
Heckathorne of Decatur City
officiated.

The bride was attired in a gown of rose
colored cashmere trimmed in
white silk lace and medallions. The groom
wore the conventional black.
About sixty-five guests were present to
witness the ceremony. MR. MAUS
is well and favorably known and is well
worthy of the young lady he has
chosen for his bride. They were the
recipients of many valuable and
useful presents.

Those present from Leon were MR. and MRS.
JAMES EVANS and MR. and MRS.
JOHN CHANDLER.

--A GUEST.
