Thomas Jefferson Phipps was supposed to have been married to Charlotte
Copeland, September 6, 1851, in Decatur Co., Iowa. I also have one of their
children as being born there, Joseph Milton Phipps, born April 17, 1857, in
Decatur Co., Iowa. Is my information incorrect. I would like to get it
straightened out, if it is. I have been unable to find any paperwork on
Thomas or Charlotte, other than Thomas' death certificate. They were my GG
Grandparents. Could you possibly give me any help? Thomas was born May 6,
1826 in Warren Co., Indiana. Charlotte was born March 4. 1834 in Vermillion
Co., Ill., I have her death as January 12. 1881 in Missouri Co., or Harrison
Co., Iowa (I don't have any paperwork on her at all). Her parents were
Jefferson Copeland and Louisa Johnson. Do you think the Grandmother Phipps
listed in one of your cemetaries could be her? It says there is no date or
first name on marker, would the cemetary have any paperwork in their files?
Thank you for the wonderful site, I really have a good feeling about it. Her
last two children out of ten were twins, and my grandmother always thought
Charlotte had died in childbirth, but if it were with the twins, it would
have been around October 1, 1867 (their birthdate). Thank you for your time.
