Biography ~ Edna Treat
Graceland University, Lamoni, Iowa

Upon graduation Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 1910, Edna Almeda Treat accepted a music faculty position at the University of Illinois (approx. 1912 to 1920). She continued her studies at The American Conservatory of Music, University of Michigan, and the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, and was on the faculty at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, in 1928.
"Miss Edna Treat left yesterday afternoon for Rochester, NY, where she will attend the Eastman School of Music." ~ "The Evening Star and Daily Record" Bradford, Pennsylvania, January 3, 1928.

Here, Edna studied with Harold Gleason.

Edna joined Graceland's music faculty and taught piano and keyboard from 1937 to 1941.

Edna played the organ for annual performances of The Messiah at Independence, Missouri.
