William "Lloyd" Gilreath
William "Lloyd" Gilreath was born on January 29, 1879, the son of William Barton and Barbara "Ellen" (Hess) Gilreath. Lloyd taught the Fall and Winter terms of 1898 - 1899 and 1899 - 1900 at the Foland School No. 7, Richland Township, Decatur County, Iowa.
Lloyd married Nora Catherine Young (1882 - 1957) on April 3, 1901 in Decatur County, Iowa. They were the parents of four children: Creston Lloyd, Verda Mae, Tressa "Tressie" and Percy Wilber. The family moved to Lake Andes, South Dakota where they resided for several years.
After Lloyd and Nora divorced, she moved back to Richland Township, Decatur County, where she died on January 15, 1957, and was interred at Grand River Cemetery, Decatur County, Iowa.
Lloyd remarried to Margaret Murphy, who was born April 21, 1895, and died October 7, 1978. Lloyd died on June 30, 1964. Lloyd and Margaret were interred at Calvary-Emerson Cemetery, Dixon County, Nebraska.
