WEDDING

Prof. Hoyle H. Gilreath and Miss Lora Winona Woodard were married at 12:30 o'clock yesterday [March 28] at the home of the bride's father, Mayor Marion Woodard, the ceremony being performed by Elder C.F. Stevens, of Trenton, assisted by Elder R.W. Castor.

Only the family friends and relatives were present at the ceremony. The bride was becomingly attired in a costume of white silk mull, and carried a bouquet of roses. After the ceremony an elaborate wedding repast was served.

The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Woodard, a beautiful and accomplished young lady, and is an elocutionist of some note.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mr. W.B. Gilreath, of Richland Township. He also graduated from the Leon High School and for the past two years has been a teacher in the public schools.

Prof. and Mrs. Gilreath left on the afternoon train for a short visit at Des Moines and Dallas. They will return to Grand River, Saturday, where a reception will be tendered them at the home of the groom's parents.

At the close of the present school year they will move to Grand River where Mr. Gilreath will engage in business. The many friends of this worthy young couple extend hearty congratulations.

Grand River News

Forty-five of our citizens in the town limits registered for a land claim in Dakota and about that many registered from the country round about. No wonder the trains are loaded with people if that is the way they go from everywhere.

Hoyle Gilreath and wife were over Sunday visitors at Marion Woodard's in Leon. Hoyle will leave this week for Lake Andes, S.D., and will return shortly to move his household effects to that place where he will make his future home.

Five Generations Show in Picture

Yankton, SD, April 5. -- Hoyle Gilreath of this city, has just had framed three sets of photographs, in one of which is shown five generations, all alive at the time the pictures were taken, and two sets in which are shown four generations, paternal and maternal, all alive today, thus making three groupings of four generations each, all alive. Recently at a family reunion all were gathered together, since when an aged great grandmother has died. She was Mrs. Elizabeth Canterbury, aged 89, of Lucas, Iowa. Her great-great grandchld, whom she held on her knee at the reunion, was little Wilma Gilreath, of this city, aged two and one-half years at the time.
