Ada Whisler

Ada LaVelle Whisler, 81, Bloomfield, died at 5:55 p.m. Oct. 6, 1991, at the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care Unit.

She was born Jan. 23, 1910, in Davis County to Cal and Dora Jane Saner Coy. She married Albert A. Whisler May 1, 1929, in Macon, Mo. He died March 16, 1989.

A lifetime county resident, she was a homemaker and a member of the Women's Relief Corps and Rebekah Lodge No. 1 in Bloomfield.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara French of Bloomfield; two sons, Jack of Sacramento, Calif., and Don of Pulaski; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Robert.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1991 at the Wagler Funeral Home with the Rev. Quentin Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.

Memorials may be made to the Long Term Care Unite and the Iowa Heart Association.
