George Dunfrund

George Dunfrund, 87, a former Davis County resident, died Saturday at DeKalb, Ill.

He was born in Davis County to John W. and Laura Henderson Dunfrund. He was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church, a veteran of World War I and a member of the Masons, Lions and American Legion at Strawberry Point, Ia., where he was a retired banker.

His wife, Lucille Priest Dunfrund, died Sept. 2, 1978. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Jean King of DeKalb; a son, James R. of Fallbrook, Calif.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel Dunfrund of DeKalb.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Priester Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Don Slaughter. Burial in the IOOF Cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.

A memorial has been established.
