Albert DeMuth

Albert DeMuth, 87, died Wednesday at Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

He was born in Davis County, near Savannah, on may 2, 1893, to Ulrich and Marion Kneidolf DeMuth.

He was never married. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Savannah Christian Church.

Survivors include one nephew, Francis Holtzinger of Ottumwa and oen niece, Mary Ellen Allen of Columbus, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. at the Priester Funeral Chapel, Bloomfield, conducted by the Rev. Quentin Johnson. Burial will be in the Savannah Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post No. 78.

Visitation will be held at the Priester Funeral Chapel from 7 until 8 p.m. Friday.

The casket will be closed at the beginning of the services.
