Bloomfield - C. Marcene Stogdill, 80, of Burlington, formerly of Bloomfield, died at 6:10 p.m. Feb.12, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Lunning Chapel, Burlington, Pastor Don Crawford officiating Internment will be in the Aspen Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

A memorial has been established for the First Assembly of God Church.

C. Marcene Stogdill, 80 was born November 17, 1925 in Moulton, IA. She was the daughter of Frank L. and Eunice Grace Courtney Brown. On May 19, 1945 she married Dale L. Stogdill in Bloomfield. He died August 29, 1987.

She was a graduate of Bloomfield High School. Early in her career she taught at country schools in Davis County. For 14 years she worked at IRC-TRW and was a section leader from 1963 until May of 1977. She also worked at Catarpillar in Joliet, Illinois, was personnel instructor at Hope Haven from 1987 until 1988 and as a greeter at Wal-mart since April of 1989.

Mrs. Stogdill was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed visiting with people.

Survivors include her son, Michael L. Stogdill of Wever; two grandsons, Bryan and Randall; four step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Ware and Ina Grace Billie" Foster both of Ottumwa; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband, parents; and one daughter-in-law preceded her in death.

A memorial has been established for First Assembly of God Church.
