Nora Birchmier

Nora E. Birchmier, 96, Pulaski, died Tuesday at the Ottumwa Manor.

She was born Dec. 12, 1888 in Davis County to John and Anna ford Rogers. She married Jesse Birchmier on March 14, 1912. He died in December of 1915. She was a retired switchboard operator for the Pulaski area.

She is survived by a son, Lloyd of Ottumwa; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Priester Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Marilyn Butler. Burial will be in the Troy Cemetery.

The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.

Visitation is open.

A memorial has been established to the Heart Fund or the Pulaski United Methodist Church.
