DIES AT LONG BEACH

Rev. J. H. Senseney Passed Away Tuesday, July 28

On Wednesday morning, E. Rominger received a telegram from his daughter, Mrs. C. H. Marks of Long Beach, California, informing him that his bother-in-law, Rev. J. H. Sensensey died at this home in Long Beach at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday. For several months he had been suffering with heart trouble which was followed by paralysis and his death was not unexpected.

Dr. Senseney was converted and joined the Wesley Chapel church early in youth and at once began to prepare himself for the ministry. He was educated at Mt. pleasant, Iowa, Wesleyan College; and Garrett Biblical Institute at Evanston, Illinois. He joined the Des Moines Methodist Episcopal Conference, in the beginning of his ministry.

He was a man of strong evangelical powers. For a number of years he served as District Superintendent of Des Moines District which included the city of Des Moines.

About 14 years ago he moved to Long Beach and immediately took charge of the Bible class of one of the largest Methodist churches in the city and continued his teaching until he was stricken by ill health about four months ago.

He leaves his wife, Dr. Harry Senseney of Log Angeles, California, and two daughters. His only sister, Mrs. George Barnett resided near Wesley Chapel in Davis County. The youngest brother, Lewis Senseney, resides in Bloomfield
