The Pulaski correspondent of the Burlington Post sends the following to that paper: "Old Mr. Chris Naufziger of this place died Nov. 24,, aged 85 years 6 months. He was born near Metz, in France and came to America in 1832. He lived some time in northern New York and Canada and settled here in Davis County in 1854. He remembered seeing Napoleon's troops enter France after the disastrous campaign in Russia. He saw Louis XVIII, Charles X, and Louis Phillipe, then king of France. He was well acquainted with Lafayette. His desire was to live long enough to see the French retake the two provinces that the Germans took from France. He was a large, well preserved old man and never had any sickness before he was taken down about ten days before his death. His wife had been dead about 10 years. They had no children."
