Mrs Milton Bertha Stocker, Age 72, passed away Monday. She was born April 26, 1895, in Davis County, the daughter of Frances and Leonard Simmons. She was married to Milton Stocker December, 1916, who survives. Preceding her death were her parents, five sisters, three children and one grandchild. Survivors include 11 children, Forest Stocker of Ottumwa; Freda Hershberger, Berlin, Wisc., Mabel Stafford, Evergreen, Colo., Lowell (Dwight)Stocker, Moravia; Betty Jean Gruwell, Marion; Edna Hershburger, Albia; Bonnie Clancy, Ottumwa; Verlin Stocker, Moravia; Margaret Scott, Moravia; Maggie (Marg)Coglan, Moravia, and Carol Wilson, Cedar Rapids. Thirty-four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two brothers, Arthur Simmons, Bloomfield, and Marion Simmons of Drakesville also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm, from the Turner Funeral home in Moravia, with Rev L Deidrick officitating. Burial will be in Hillcrest.
