Passed away during a heart transplant at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska on February 12th 2013 at the age of 64. Services will be held at the Luthern Church of Hope in West Des Moines Iowa on Saturday February 16th at 11am. Sidney was born on December 8th 1948 in Ottumwa, Iowa. In 1967 he graduated from High School in Bloomfield, IA. He moved to Montana were he was previously married and had his first daughter Tara Gose. He met and remarried Catherine Dowling on November 3rd 1991. The family moved to Des Moines were he worked as a Parishable Food Salesman with Pothoff Foods. He is survived by his wife Catherine Gose of Des Moines, Children Amanda Johnson (Daryl Johnson) of Des Moines, Matthew Dorwart (Selena Dorwart) of Des Moines, Hillary Gose of Des Moines, 8 Grandchildren, Father Kenneth Gose Sr. of Creston, Brother Kenneth Gose Jr. of Arizona, Sister Connie Mason of Arizona, and his loving companion Kia. Preceded in Death by his Mother Dorothy Maxine Lunkley and Mother-in-law Verna Dowling. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the Church of Hope on Saturday at 9:30am. The family would like to thank Dr. Um and everyone at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In lieu of flowers please make memorials out to Catherine Gose.
