OBITUARY.
Mrs. Susan Adcock Fleming
Mrs. John Fleming died suddenly on Wednesday January 18, 1911 from heart disease at her home in Drakesville. The funeral was conducted by Rev. E. A. Hastings of Bloomfield, Iowa. Interment made in Drakesville cemetery. Mrs. Susan Adcock Fleming was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Adcock and was born January 3, 1845 near Ottumwa. She moved to Davis County at the age of ten years, residing here the greater portion of her life. In
1875 she was united in marriage to John H. Fleming and to them were born nine children: Barton E., Mrs. August Huner, Gilford H., Mrs. Bessie Sloan, Evaline, Clarence R., Sylvia, Alice and Wray. All survive with the husband except Alice and Evaline. Mrs. Fleming became a member of the Christian church in 1886, living a loving and earnest Christian a true friend and neighbor and will be greatly missed by all. Besides the husband and children she leaves three sisters, three brothers and a host of friends. The bereaved have the heartfelt sympathy of all who know them.—Contributed.
