William H. Shadley was born in Davis County, Iowa January 20, 1871, was united in marriage to Miss Lulu Workman, August 1, 1899. To this union six children were born. The first two died in infancy. He leaves a faithful wife and four children to mourn the loss of a kind husband and loving father, also two brothers and two sisters. About two years ago he moved with his family to Grant county Oklahoma. Mr. Shadley has been troubled with some kind of inward growth which baffled the skill of the best physicians for many months and which finally caused his death at the home of his brother P. B. Shadley July 31. 1910. The deceased had made two trips from Oklahoma to Ottumwa in hopes of finding relief, but to no avail. In his last illness he sought and found the Savior precious to his soul, which gave him great comfort and peace in his last hours. He left a bright testimony that all was well with his soul. The funeral was conducted by Rev. W. J. Trimble at the Ormanville M. E. church and the body was interred in the Bear cemetery to await the resurrection of the Just.—Contributed.
