Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” October 30, 1906:

Will M. Truitt was born August 18, 1882, died October 22, at the family home in Drakesville. He was the youngest of seven children, and the first one to be called home. He leaves a father, mother, one brother, and five sisters. All were present during his illness and death but one sister, Mrs. T.J.. McIntire, who resides in Kosse, Texas. All that loving hands and medical skill could do could not prolong his life. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. Davis, assisted by Rev. Ireland, of Pulaski. Music was furnished by the quartet–Messrs. Smock, Henderson, Downing and Calvert, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Drakesville cemetery.
