Keo M. Baker

Keo M. Baker, 83, of 203 W. Adams Ave., died at 7:47 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at Nelson Nursing Home.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Renken officiating. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery in Eldon.

Open visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Friday.

Memorials have been established to the Fairfield area Relay for Life or the Fairfield Public Library.

Mrs. Baker was born Oct. 28, 1919, in Davis County, the daughter of Evert and Julia Baterson Wilburn. She married Albert Baker Jan. 15, 1938, in Keosauqua.
He died Dec. 5, 2001.

Mrs. Baker graduated from Selma Consolidated Schools and was a resident of Fairfield for most of her life. She worked as a cook in Fairfield schools for
30 years.

Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Raymond and husband Jack of Fairfield, Kathryn Shoemaker and husband Warren of Kahoka, Mo., Christine Fayard and husband Bill of Montgomery, Texas, and Bonnie Baker of Houghton; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Opal Klicker of Mount Pleasant and Helen Spees of Warrenton, Mo., and one brother, Justine Wilburn of Bloomfield.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Elizabeth Way; one grandson; her parents; and one infant sister.
