Hiram L. Post, 77, died at the home of his son Harvey Post, Ottumwa route 4, Blackhawk Rd., at 5 PM Tuesday. He was the son of John and Harriet Post and was born in Illinois December 19, 1858. Surviving are his wife, Mary, three daughters, Miss Dora Post of Ottumwa route 4, Mrs. Flora Harridge of Moulton and Mrs. Lola Saner of Floris; three sons, Harvey of Ottumwa route 4, Everett of North Platte, Nebraska and John of Ottumwa route 4; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Powell Floris and Mrs. Sophia Goudy of Woodward; 15 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM at Johnson's funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. A. D. McClure. Burial be made in the Fiedler cemetery.
