Cook, Cecil Hougham, Orran Shambaugh, and Loren Shambaugh. Burial was in the Booneville Cemetery.------ I happen to be distantly related to a Thornburg family. The name is sometimes spelled Thornbrough or Thornbury. My Thornburg ancestors probably originated in England, moving to northern Ireland, then to Delaware, then to Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Indiana, with some of their descendants reaching Iowa. In Colonial times and even to the present, they have tended to be Quaker in religious affiliation.
