Rachel Smeltzer was born in PA in 1822, a dau of Joseph Smeltzer & Hannah Green. She and her husband, James Smith left Huntingdon Co, PA bet 1850 & 1860 and settled in Jasper Co, IA. James died between 1860 & 1870. In 1870 Rachel was residing in Kellogg Twp, Jasper Co; in 1880 in Lincoln, Dallas Co.and in 1900 in Bagley, Guthrie Co. In 1907 she was in Dallas County according to her brother's obituary. When did she die and where? Where is she buried?
Her children: Margaret, Keziah, Henry Clay, Joseph C., Rebecca, Elice, James S. and Cynthia. In 1900, Henry Clay (also referred to as Phidallas C.) was living in Bagley, Guthrie Co.
