I am seeking information on a John Osler, age 25 in 1850 and his wife Sarah (Lewis) Osler. They were married in Grundy County, Illinois in 1849 and had a daughter, Frances in 1850. John Osler was a resident of Adel, Iowa when he enlisted in the Union Army on 11-Aug-1862 as a private and was assigned to Company "C", 39th Iowa Infantry. He was mustered out of the army on 30-Mat-1865 at Davenport, Iowa. John Osler was listed as a prisoner of the South on 05-Oct-1864 in Allatoona, Georgia. Need information on his children, as to how many and their names. Also need death date and place buried of both John and his wife Sarah.
