Walker Garoutte, Adel, late 1880s

I am trying to locate a Walker Garoutte who live in Adel in the later part of the 1800's. I have a newspaper article when he came to visit his niece (my ancestor) in Illinois during July of 1899. He would have been a very old man by then as my ancestor was born in 1829. Her name was Sarah Ann Garoutte Predmore and she was born in New Jersey to John and Mary and that is all I know. I am hoping that there may be an obituary on Walker that might give me some more clues in my search. If you can help me that would be wonderful.
