I am seeking info regarding my grandfather's family. Joseph Rochelle (b. 2/20/1827, d. 7/19/08) and his wife Margaret Ann Miller (b.11/10/1834, d. 1920) (daughter of David and Electa Heath Miller) lived/farmed in the Valley Junction/West Des Moines area in the mid-1800's. The whole family seems to have vanished. No one knows where they are buried, children were: Frederick Austin, b. 2/21/1855, d. 1917; DeLois Rochelle, b. 6/10/1857, d. 1882; Mary Eleanor Rochelle, b. 9/18/1859, d. 1955, possibly buried in Alliance NE; Curtis Lyon, b. 1/27/1862, d. 1863; John, b. 12/19/1869, d. DesMoines; Albert Rochelle (my grandfather) b. 3/29/1869, d. 2/15/1957-Casper Wy, buried at Highland Cemetary in Casper; Clarence Miller Rochelle, b. 11/12/1875 in Valley Junction, d. 5/24/1961-Adel IA. We are having to start here in hopes of connecting with the rest of the family branch, many of whom ended up in Franklin OH after leaving Sparta NJ. We are simply missing two generations, several are working on this, each in a different area. I was given the Iowa connection to develop. Any websites, ANY information at all!, folks to write to, etc. would be most helpful. Thank you for responding.
