Obituary

Myrtle Zelda Dickerson was born September 1, 1904, at Coalville, Iowa, the daughter of Geo. A. and Mamie C. Dickerson; she passed away at her home March 9, 1965.

She married Charles Lewis Cumpston February 10, 1923. To this union were born six children all of whom survive.

They were in business in Fort Dodge, Tama and were established in Adel and the Redfield Community in 1936. In 1939 they moved to the present farm home where they yet reside.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Those who survive are her husband, Charles L. Cumpston; their six children: Dale and his wife Margaret of Lawrence, Kansas; Duane and his wife Mary Lea of Atlantic, Iowa; Geneil and husband Earl Mosind (?) of Waterloo, Iowa; Gardette and his wife Betty of Peneville, Louisiana; Kay Eloise Cumpston, a student at the University of Iowa. There are sixteen grandchildren.

She was a member of the Redfield Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and many other worthy organizations.

Final rites were held Saturday at the Redfield Methodist Church under the direction of the Evans Funeral home, with the Revs. John Latta and Ernest Baiotto officiating. Burial was in the Dexter cemetery.
