Bob Smeltzer passed away in Huntingdon, PA, on December 5th, 2020. Bob, the youngest child of Paul and Orpha Smeltzer, was born in Dexter, Iowa.

Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing. He started doing both at an early age while growing up in Wiscotta, IA. He married his wife, Sandi Smeltzer, on March 5, 1960. They lived in Dexter and had three children, Jeff, Steve, and Krystyna (Krys).

Bob held many positions throughout his life. He and his wife for several years owned and managed Adkins grocery. For a time Bob served on the Dexter city council and was also a volunteer fireman.

Bob is survived by his children Jeff (Jill) and Krys (Bruce); and his beloved grandchildren: Lisa (Adam); Sara, and Samantha(Ben); and Lydia, Sophie, and Zack. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and their children. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandi, son Steve, mother, father, 3 brothers James, John, and Richard and 2 sisters Betty, and Dorothy.

The family would like to thank everyone at Westminster Woods of Huntingdon, Pa for the dedication and devotion they showed Bob while a resident there.
