J. W. Sharp, an aged and much respected citizen of Dexter, died at his home Friday morning. He was ill only a short time and passed peacefully from earth.

He was born in Ohio seventy-seven years ago the day he died. He was married when nineteen years old, and had resided in Dexter about twelve years.

His was a life of the highest integrity, a man of stalwart Christian character, he lived every day what he professed and left an example worthy of examination.

The funeral was held from the M.E. church Sunday morning at the regular service hour, conducted by Rev. W. F. Bartholomew, and attended by a large number of friends. The interment was made in the Dexter cemetery.
